Roaming and Travel plans:When leaving Canada for a US holiday or an international destination, AREA Wireless offers different plans depending on your needs:
Roam Like Home lets you use the talk, text and data included in your monthly plan just like you would at home. This feature is automatically enabled on all subscriber lines. Simply turn on data roaming on your device. Once you arrive in your destination, you will receive a welcome notification confirming that Roam Like Home™ is active and ready to use. Once Roam Like Home™ has been activated, the duration will last for 24 hours; at which time, should you continue using Roam Like Home™, you will incur an additional charge applicable to the destination you are in. The charges are as follows:
$8/day for US Destinations $14/day for International Destinations
Flex Roaming is a feature that is offered in countries where Roam Like Home™ is not available. Flex Roaming offers different Tiers based on your usage requirements for voice, data and text. You will only be charged for the service you use (e.g. if only data and text is used, only those 2 features will be billed). Flex Roaming will be automatically enabled in countries that do not have Roam Like Home™ coverage. For more details, please click here. (Please note, you can use your wireless device on many cruise ships, but Roam Like Home and Flex Roaming are not available on cruise ships. Your only Rogers roaming option is to be charged standard pay-per-use roaming rates).
For Users who do not wish to incur charges, all voice, text and/or data functions should be turned off, as applicable, for the duration of time spent in the international destination. It is important to keep in mind that AREA Wireless and Rogers have no control over what third-party wireless services may charge in the country where roaming occurs.
Users are responsible for monitoring use of their device while travelling and are responsible for all charges incurred. Neither AREA Wireless or Rogers will offer credits on unexpected bills, as charges are reflective of the device’s use during that period.
If you are a snowbird and travel to the US for longer periods of time, the Canada/US Roaming Add-on allows you to pay a flat monthly fee to utilize your talk, text and data included in your AREA Wireless plan while roaming in the US. Data Only Add-on:As an AREA Wireless subscriber you have the option to add on a smart watch and/or tablet to your plan. This provides an additional 1GB of data to your 20GB plan at max speed. Once you exceed 21GB max speed data across all devices, the speed is reduced, but you still have access to unlimited data without worrying about data overage fees.

New Device Plan:If you do not want to Bring your Own Device (BYOD), the New Device Plan allows subscribers to upgrade their devices at any time with the latest offerings from Rogers, depending on availability. A list of available phone models and corresponding costs can be accessed through your online AREA Wireless portal at https://area.mywirelessconcierge.ca
The New Device Plan offers Licensed REALTORS® and Members of AREA, monthly installment plans available when they purchase a new device. The costs are as follows:
*up to $840 + GST for device. Devices costing more than $840 have increased upfront costs, devices costing less will have a shorter payment term.
Users are responsible for all costs associated with purchase of a new device. Please note, if you purchase a device you must pay off the entire balance before you can purchase a second one.
Unused Device Trade-In Portal:If you have old, damaged or unused devices around the house or office you can utilize our exclusive Device Trade In Program. Send your old devices in and receive cash in return. Visit the Trade In Portal here for more details and to get started.
Billing:All users are billed on a monthly cycle and are responsible for all charges incurred. AREA Wireless users are required to provide up-to-date, valid credit card information for billing purposes. The credit card on file will be charged.
You will receive an email notifying you when your bill is available for viewing online. At anytime if you wish to view your account you can visit your AREA Wireless online portal at: https://area.mywirelessconcierge.ca/. Or contact the AREA Wireless Concierge at 1-888-819-3612 with any questions about billing and/or charges incurred.
AREA Wireless reserves the right to suspend or cancel user accounts without valid credit card information or cancel user accounts that do not pay their invoices. Charges for the Services on cancelled and/or suspended accounts will continue to be incurred and will be payable by the User.
Leaving AREA Wireless:Users may leave the AREA Wireless plan at any time by notifying the Concierge at 1-888-819-3612 of their intention to cancel. There is no contract begin or end date. Users are responsible for paying any outstanding costs, including plan charges and device balances, prior to leaving the plan.
