We’re looking for a passionate and experienced REALTOR® from Central or Northern Alberta to join AREA’s Forms and Practice Committee. Broker/management experience, as well as knowledge in commercial and/or rural real estate is an asset, however all interested members are encouraged to apply.

AREA’s Forms and Practice Committee is an operational committee engaged to drive high-level, practice-focused discussions and advise on issues relating to provincial real estate forms, practices, and professionalism. Our volunteer committee includes brokers and agents, lawyers, board staff, and industry stakeholders like REIX. The committee composition is structured to ensure the members are regionally and practice-area diverse, representative of residential, rural, and commercial REALTORS^® across Alberta.

The term for this position will start February 1, 2022 and end January 31, 2023 (with the option to extend for another term). Commitment to your term is crucial to the success of the committee’s endeavors and you will be expected to prepare for and attend two meetings (online or hosted in our Calgary office with travel reimbursement provided). You may also be engaged throughout your term for feedback as new forms and practice issues arise. A full scope of the processes and work involved will be provided to you.
