Area WIRELESS Get Started

Setting up an Area WIRELESS account is simple

For Rogers Customers
  1. Dial *611 from your Rogers cell phone.
  2. Advise the Rogers customer care representative that you are authorizing the Alberta Real Estate Association to take responsibility of your phone line.
  3. Rogers will provide you with a unique interaction ID. Please note this ID.
  4. Call the Area WIRELESS Concierge at 1-888-819-3612 to set up a new account.
  5. You will need to provide a credit card number, your contact information, your device details and telephone number to complete account set up.
For Customers with Another Provider
  1. If you wish to use your current device with the Area WIRELESS plan, contact your carrier and ask to have your device unlocked if it is more than 3 years old. If your current device is less than 3 years old, it should already be unlocked.
  2. Obtain a Rogers SIM card from any Rogers store or 'big-box' store, or from our AREA office in Calgary (call 403-228-6845 and tell them you would like to pick up a SIM card for the Area WIRELESS plan).
  3. Call Your Area WIRELESS Concierge at 1-888-819-3612 and advise them you wish to set up a new account.
  4. You will need to provide the SIM card details, your existing phone number, your current account number with your carrier, a valid credit card, and your email address.
  5. They will walk you through the process and handle porting your existing phone number and account information to the Area WIRELESS account.
  6. You will receive a confirmation email once their work has been completed. The switch-over of your account may take up to 24 hours.

Notes:

Once your account is set up you now have access to the Area WIRELESS online portal with all of your account details, billing, options to purchase new devices, etc. Your portal log in page is https://area.mywirelessconcierge.ca/

You must own your device outright to move to Area WIRELESS without cancellation fees. If there is still a balance on your device at the time of transfer to Area WIRELESS, you will be responsible for any cancellation fees owing.

Our membership work and live in Alberta, which we acknowledge as the traditional and ancestral lands of many peoples presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8 – namely the Blackfoot Confederacy (Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika), the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney Nakoda and the Tsuu T’ina Nation, and the Métis People of Alberta. We recognize the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today, and those who have gone before. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those on whose territory we reside.
